How to setup your own store

Store Login

Learn how to log into your store.

 

  1. In the top right hand side of the main page, click on the Login tab (0:15)
  2. Click on the cell marked Email and enter your email address (0:17)
  3. Click on the cell marked Password and enter your password which can be found in your welcome email (0:20)
  4. To log into your store, click on the green LOGIN tab at the bottom of the Login window (0:21)
  5. In the top right hand corner, click on the Admin area tab and select MY STORES (0:25)
  6. Select the green EDIT tab within the block marked with your store’s name (0:30)

Store Description

Descriptions provide insight into your business. Add a store description to give your customers an overview of your brand by telling your customers about your offering and what makes your business and its products unique.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Business info tab (0:12)
  2. Click on the Vendor description tab within the INFORMATION window (0:14)
  3. Click on the cell below the Short business description heading and enter a suitable summary (0:16)
  4. Click on the cell below the Vendor description heading and enter a suitable summary (0:41)
  5. Close the INFORMATION window by clicking ‘x’ to go back to the home screen (0:51)

Cuisine Types

Learn how to apply cuisine types to your store to help customers quickly find what they are looking for by using the filter option.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Business info tab (0:11)
  2. Click on the Cuisine type tab within the INFORMATION window (0:15)
  3. Tick all of the boxes that apply to your store (0:19)
  4. Close the INFORMATION window by clicking ‘x’ to go back to the home screen (0:49)

Dietary Types

Learn how to apply dietary types to your store to help customers quickly find what they are looking for by using the filter option.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Business info tab (0:12)
  2. Click on the Business type tab within the INFORMATION window (0:15)
  3. Tick the box/boxes that apply to your store (0:17)
  4. Close the INFORMATION window by clicking ‘x’ to go back to the home screen (0:31)

Payment Types

Choose how you want to be paid by selecting your method of payment.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Payment methods tab (0:10)
  2. Select your preferred payment type by ticking the appropriate box (0:17)
  3. Close the Payment methods window by clicking ‘x’ to go back to the home screen (0:29)

Notification Settings

Receive notifications via your email for incoming orders. You can also add contact numbers so that your customers can communicate with you.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Notifications tab (0:12)
  2. Click on the Emails and phones tab (0:14)
  3. Click on the cell below the Email to receive orders heading to add or change the email address (0:17)
  4. Click on the cell below the Phone number or Mobile number to add or change the contact number (0:20)

Custom Slug

slug is the part of a URL which identifies a particular page on a website in an easy to read form. In other words, it’s the part of the URL that explains the page’s content. For this article, for example, the URL is https://pekkish.co.za/slug, and the slug simply is ‘slug‘.

By having a customised slug (the part in your Uniform Resource Locator or URL that can be edited) it allows your customers to click on a link that leads directly to your store at all times.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Ordering channels tab (0:11)
  2. Click on the top cell marked Custom slug within the Extensions window (0:15)
  3. Click on the cell below the Slug heading to change your slug but avoid special characters (0:18)
  4. To save the changes you’ve made, click on the green SAVE tab just below the slug cell (0:27)

Delivery Zones

By setting up delivery zones, it allows you to have deliveries done to your preferred areas. You can add costs to each delivery zone that will automatically apply at checkout when your customers select their preferred requirements.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Delivery zones tab (0:12)
  2. Click on the cell marked Zone name and enter a description for your delivery zone [e.g. Delivery Zone 1 (0-2km)] (0:15)
  3. In the same row towards the right, click on the cell below the Min heading and enter in numbers a minimum value that your customers need to spend in order for customers to make use of this delivery option (0:31)
  4. In the same row towards the right, click on the cell below the Price heading and enter in numbers a price for this delivery zone that are in line with your description in step 2 (0:38)
  5. To add your delivery zone, click on the +Add tab in the same row towards the right (0:42)
  6. In the top left corner of the Zone delivery settings window, click on the cell marked Polygon below the Type heading and select Circle (0:47)
  7. On the stop section of the map, select the circle icon (0:59)
  8. Move your cursor to the red pin on your map, right click once to drop then drag your circle outward until you’ve reached the radius in kilometres (km) in line with your description in step 2 (1:04)
  9. To add your delivery zone, click on the green ADD tab at the bottom of the Zone delivery settings window (1:20)
  • To add another delivery zone, follow steps 2 – 8, when completing step 8, widen the circle to increase the range and cover a larger area for delivery. You can use the + (plus) and – (minus) symbols to zoom in and out of the map (2:03)
  • To add your delivery zone, click on the green ADD tab at the bottom of the Zone delivery settings window (2:30)
  • Close the Delivery zones window by clicking on the ‘x’ to go back to the home screen (2:37)

Changing a Price

Learn how to change prices for products in your store.

 

  1. On the left hand side of your home screen, find the item you’d like to amend the price of (0:10)
  2. To change the price, click on the price cell (0:12)
  3. Clear the current price and enter the new price in numbers (0:15)
  4. Changes will be saved automatically (0:32)

Adding Categories

Learn how to add categories that group a collection of products in order for your customers to easily find what they are looking for.

 

  1. On the left hand side of your home screen, below your store name, click on the cell marked Category name and enter a category (0:11)
  2. To add your category, click on the green + (plus sign) in the same row towards the right of the Category name tab (0:15)
  3. To add another category, follow steps 1 – 2

Deleting Categories

Learn to remove unwanted categories from your store permanently.

 

  1. On the left hand side of your home screen, below your store name, find the category you want to delete (0:10)
  2. Click on the red x of the unwanted category tab (0:11)
  3. A pop-up window will appear prompting you whether, “Are you sure you want to delete this category?”, select OK (0:13)

Adding Products

Spreadsheet editor mode is another way you can add products to your store. You can also directly copy and paste from excel files.

 

  1. In the centre (closer toward the right hand side) of your home screen, click on the Spreadsheet editor mode tab (0:12)
  2. Scroll down until you find the spreadsheet, click on the cell below the Name heading and enter preferred product name (0:20)
  3. In the same row towards the right, click on the cell below the Description heading and enter a product description (0:28)
  4. In the same row towards the right, click on the cell below the Price heading and enter in numbers a product price (0:39)
  5. To exit the spreadsheet, click on the Spreadsheet editor mode tab (0:47)

Adding a Coupon

Learn how to add coupons so that your customers can enjoy discounts on your menu items.

 

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the More tab (0:11)
  2. In the centre of the More window, click on the Coupons tab (0:13)
  3. In the cell marked Coupon code, create your coupon code but avoid special characters (0:16)
  4. In the same row towards the right, in the cell marked Min, enter in numbers to the minimum spend for your coupon (0:23)
  5. In the same row towards the right, in the cell marked Limit, enter in numbers how many customers you are limiting this coupon to (0:27)
  6. To add your coupon, in the same row towards the right, click on the +Add tab (0:29)
  7. In the cell below the Value heading, enter in an amount in numbers for the discount value (0:38)
  8. In the cell below the Start heading, enter a date for when your coupon is due to start (0:46)
  9. In the cell below the Finish heading, enter a date for when your coupon is due to end (0:50)
  10. To add your coupon, click on the green ADD tab at the bottom of the Coupon settings window (0:56)
  11. Close the More window to go back to the home screen (1:03)

Business Menu Availability

  1. On the right hand side of your home screen, click on the Business Menu tab (0:10)
  2. In the cell marked Menu name within the Business menu window, type in a title for your menu (0:15)
  3. To add your menu, in the same row towards the right, click on the +Add tab (0:39)
  4. At the bottom of the Menu settings window, select all the products that apply to the menu you’ve just created (0:45)
  5. To select the days of availability for your menu, click on the green Edit tab next to Schedule (0:49)
  6. Click on the days to open them, then un-tick all the ones don’t apply to your menu (0:55)
  7. Close the Schedule window by clicking the ‘x’ in the right hand corner (1:01)
  8. To add your menu, click on the ADD tab at the bottom of your Menu settings window (1:05)
  9. To create another menu, follow steps 2 – 6
  10. To change the time of availability, click on the edit icon and select preferred days between Sunday – Friday (2:00)
  • Select an Open and Close time by utilising the drop down clock menu (2:12)
  • Close the Schedule window by clicking the ‘x’ in the right hand corner (2:37)
  • To add your menu, click on the ADD tab at the bottom of your Menu settings window (2:42)
  • Close the Business menu window to go back to the home screen (2:50)
