What is PEKKISH?

PEKKISH is a food ordering and delivery service, as well as a cost-effective marketing platform based in Cape Town. We connect our customers with the best local eateries and food-related products nearby, while helping businesses expand their reach. We believe that food is one of life’s simple joys, and that finding the food you crave should be fast, easy and fun

Why should I become a PEKKISH vendor?

As a PEKKISH vendor, you will enjoy increased brand exposure via our app and marketing channels, as well as all the info you need to track, grow and analyse your business’ performance.

As a vendor, can I take care of my own delivery?

Delivery radius and time are specified by each vendor. Not all vendors do deliveries, and some will only offer orders for collection.

What is the delivery charge for customers? Is it the same regardless of the size of the order?

PEKKISH vendors apply a distance-based delivery charge regardless of the time of the day, or the size of the order. Some vendors may offer free delivery.

What is the minimum order value on PEKKISH?

PEKKISH vendors apply a minimum order value to selected delivery areas, and no minimum order in other areas. There is no minimum order value when customers order to collect.

Can I deliver 24/7?

Yes. As a vendor, you can choose any operating hours you like – if you decide to offer 23/7 delivery, that’s great!

How does PEKKISH Business work?

You simply cook while we do all the rest! Get started by uploading your delivery menu, food images (if available), and creating your online store.

You’ll receive your orders via an allocated Android device.

You can also take advantage of offering your own delivery service with our built-in delivery function, or you can assign your own delivery representative or select from the registered delivery drivers in your area. These drivers will collect the order from your premises and deliver it to the customer. It’s that simple!

Can I mark my restaurant as Halal on PEKKISH?

Absolutely.

Does PEKKISH mark-up the prices of my menu items?

At PEKKISH, we have a no mark-up policy. Price transparency is important to us, which is why all prices and delivery charges are visible by the vendor. For online payments, however, a service fee will apply.

Are we able to go offline if we are very busy and not able to accept any orders?

Yes, you will be able to change your status to offline.

How do I prevent customers from ordering items that are sold out?

You can set each menu item to “on” or “off”. Customers will not see unavailable items unless you set it to back to “on”.

What happens if I accept an order, then realise that the item is not available? Can I contact the customer directly to offer a replacement?

In cases like these, it’s best to contact the customer directly via the chat portal located in the order itself. Open and honest communication with your customers goes a long way!

What if the customer cancels the order while the food is being prepared?

If the payment has taken place outside of the PEKKISH app or website, the cancellation of the order is managed between the customer and vendor. If payment is done within the app, a cancellation fee applies. However, a refund can always be issued at the vendor’s discretion.

How do I sign up as a PEKKISH vendor?

  • Step 3: Your store is created and we send through your login details
  • Step 4: Complete and submit the contract via the link in the email to complete your registratio
How much does it cost to be a PEKKISH vendor?

PEKKISH offers tiered monthly subscription options based on the volume of orders processed

Tier 1 – R149 p/m (1 – 60 processed orders per month)
Tier 2 – R399 p/m (61 – 500 processed orders per month)
Tier 3 – R799 p/m (500+ processed orders per month)

Are there any other charges involved?

There is a transactional fee for each online payments your customers make within the app and on the website. You may choose not to accept or offer payments within the app – this is entirely up to you and what you feel is best for your business.

Is there any contract period?

Our partner agreements are open-ended and do not carry a contract period. If either party wishes to terminate the partnership for any reason, a written notice of one (1) calendar month needs to be provided.

How long is your billing cycle?

The billing cut-off dates are on the 1st of every month, and this applies to all subscription tiers. Subscription debit orders will be billed on the 7th of every month.

Which payment options does Pekkish accept?

Card, Cash and Online Payments are accepted.

Can I change or update my menu if I need to?

You can change or update your menu whenever you like via the PEKKISH website.
